Excellence, Not Excuses
For it is God’s will that you, by doing good, silence the ignorance of foolish people. As God’s slaves, live as free people, but don’t use your freedom as a way to conceal evil. – 1 Peter 2:15-16
Excuses are everywhere….excellence is not! If you seek excellence (and the rewards that accompany it), you must avoid the bad habit of making excuses.
Whatever you do…do with excellence as if you were doing it for God Himself. When you view every task, every conversation every moment as an opportunity to serve God…you will do so with a level of excellence that is clearly visible and very rewarding. Not only to you, but to those around you and there is no better witness!

Forgiving & Forgetting
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy - James 3:17
Do you have a hard time forgetting and forgiving? If so…welcome to the club! Most of us find it difficult to forgive the people who have hurt us. And that’s too bad because life would be much simpler if we could forgive people “once and for all” and be done it. Yet forgiveness is seldom that easy. Usually the decision to forgive is straightforward, but the process of forgiving is more difficult. Forgiveness is a journey that requires time, perseverance and prayer.
If you sincerely wish to forgive someone, pray for that person. And then pray for yourself by asking God to heal your heart. Don’t expect forgiveness to be easy or quick, but rest assured: with God as your partner, you can forgive…and you will!

For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. My heart faints within me! Job 19:25-27
Job is the oldest book in the bible except for the beginning of Genesis. Wealth in this book was still measured in livestock. Even then Job already knew that there was life beyond the natural, and that after his skin was destroyed, he would yet see God with his own eyes. When he went through horrible circumstances, like losing his ten children, all of his wealth, and his health, he still clung to this hope, and it was all restored.
Know today, that whatever this life hands you, there is something beyond that. This life is temporary and not the final destination. For believers, death is not the end. Lift up your head up and have hope today because Your Redeemer Lives and nothing can change that.
Jesus Wept – General Thoughts

Jesus wept. – John 11:35
This is the shortest scripture in the entire Bible and by far one of the most profound and unique scriptures. It has driven controversy of why Jesus wept since obviously He was (is) the Messiah. After all, he healed the sick, gave the blind sight, cast out demons but yet He cries over a man who has died, can’t He raise him from the dead. So why is He crying? But here we see how truly we are one with Jesus and Jesus is one with us. Jesus wept not because He deeply loved Lazarus, not because He couldn’t raise him from the dead. He wept because He felt what his sisters and the Jews felt. He was moved by their emotion, saddened as well. This two word sentence seems so simple but yet it is so deep because it shows us that Jesus is you, Jesus is me, Jesus is us! He feels what we feels, He cries when we cry, He laughs when we laugh, He feels joy when we feel joy! So don’t ever feel like Jesus isn’t with you, He. Don’t say Jesus doesn’t understand, He does! Don’t say Jesus doesn’t know, He does! He will cry with you, and then He will wipe your tears away. Remember weeping may last for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5).

So those who are believers in Christ Jesus can no longer be condemned. The standards of the Spirit, who gives life through Christ Jesus, have set you free from the standards of sin and death.–ROMANS 8:1-2
Christ gives us confidence about you in God’s presence. By ourselves we are not qualified in any way to claim that we can do anything. Rather, God makes us qualified. He has also qualified us to be ministers of a new promise, a spiritual promise, not a written one. Clearly, what was written brings death, but the Spirit brings life.–2 CORINTHIANS 3:4-6
Whoever is a believer in Christ is a new creation. The old way of living has disappeared. A new way of living has come into existence. God has done all this. He has restored our relationship with him through Christ, and has given us this ministry of restoring relationships.–2 CORINTHIANS 5:17-18
Training the body helps a little, but godly living helps in every way. Godly living has the promise of life now and in the world to come.–1 TIMOTHY 4:8
After all, God’s saving kindness has appeared for the benefit of all people. It trains us to avoid ungodly lives filled with worldly desires so that we can live self-controlled, moral, and godly lives in this present world.–TITUS 2:11-12

Whoever knows and obeys my commandments is the person who loves. Those who love me will have my Father’s love, and I, too, will love them and show myself to them.–JOHN 14;21

Although Jesus was the Son of God, he learned to be obedient through his sufferings. After he had finished his work, he became the source of eternal salvation for everyone who obeys him.–HEBREWS 5:8-9
However, the person who continues to study God’s perfect teachings that make people free and who remains committed to them will be blessed. People like that don’t merely listen and forget; they actually do what God’s teachings say.–JAMES 1:25
We are sure that we know Christ if we obey his commandments.–1 JOHN 2:3
To love God means that we obey his commandments. Obeying his commandments isnt’ difficult because everyone who has been born from God has won the victory over the world. Our faith is what wins the victory over the world. Who wins the victory over the world? Isn’t it the person who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?–1 JOHN 5:3-5
